The vision of the National Academy of Local Schools is to work with schools to create a learning community in which every teacher and student has the opportunity to realize his or her potential for success.

Our goal is to tie teacher performance to student performance in a non-threatening way and to facilitate change that is meaningful and lasting and that attends to the unique needs of each school community.

For teachers, this means providing professional development opportunities that encourage them to hone their teaching skills and that foster a collaborative culture.

For students, this means helping them to overcome obstacles in learning so that they can perform at or above grade level.
